We'd love for you to join us!

Greta Valley School was established in 1893 and is a co-educational, full primary school. It is a rural school situated in the Hurunui District, 80 kilometres north of Christchurch. The school is currently staffed by a Principal, three teachers, one learning assistant, a school secretary and a cleaner/caretaker. The school roll is currently 35.

Our current philosophy is to provide learning programmes that are challenging and appropriate to the present and future needs of our children. All of this builds towards our vision for our school, in providing our students with “Skills for Life”. We are proud of our three school values: Caring, Discovering and Growing, and the way our students incorporate these in all that they do.
